This hand coiled, hand painted and hand fired Casas Grandes pot is a unique and traditional design. Hand painted traditional designs seem to almost jump off of the polished pottery walls. This pot is ~7-1/2" tall and ~6-3/4" wide. Painting is still widely used to decorate pots in the Southwest. Potters make no measurements or sketches but paint designs free-hand. This pot has a mind boggling amount of fine line free hand detail.
