Beautiful MataOrtiz pottery in the Casas Grandes tradition. Hand painted traditional geometric designs painted with human hair brushes and natural pigments (minerals and roots of plants). It is is dung fired, and hand-formed without the use of a potter's wheel. This pot is ~7-7/8" tall and ~6" wide. Signed Manuel Olivas.
