Beautiful Mata Ortiz pottery in the Casas Grandes tradition. Hand painted traditional geometric & animal designs painted with human hair brushes and natural pigments (minerals and roots of plants). It is is dung fired, and hand-formed without the use of a potter's wheel. It stands 11-1/2" tall and ~7" wide. Signed Lucy Mora.
