These drums came on the "scene" when Ghana gained independence from the British in 1957. A much softer sound than a djembe, they are the True African Conga and a joy to play!
Hand-carved out of a solid piece of wood, and strung with antelope skin heads, the Kpanlogo drums isa beautiful, professionally made, traditional drum from Ghana, West Africa. The drums are easily tuned by tapping a (wood or leather) mallet on the pegs to tighten the skin.
The wood is sustainably harvested Tweneboa and the carvings are magnificent!
Designs vary for each drum.
