The carving detail of the shell is very well done. The base of the jar, which is smoothly polished, has a beautiful blue-gray swirl running through one side. The small brown dot visible in the photos is actually in the stone, not on it or the photo.
Hand-carved in India, this little gem measures 1 ½ inches high X 3 inches wide X 2 ½ inches deep.
